We have some users that would like their screensaver timing to be longer due to admin tasks after hours and I need to extend the time to at least one hour.Īny help finding the correct setting is greatly appreciated. User Config > Admin Temp > Control Panel > Personalization > Screen Save Timeout (3600 seconds)Ĭomp Config > Admin Temp > System > Power Mgmt > Display Settings > Turn Off Display (7200 seconds)Ĭomp Conifg > Policies > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options > Other > Machine Inactivity limit (3600 seconds) I couldn't find a way to fix it without rebooting.

but the screen doesn't turn back on at all. After returning from the screensaver, you can hear sounds, notifications, etc. I have applied the following settings on a test machine but I have the same results with 15 minutes. Windows 11 Pro Version 21H2 Installed on OS build 22000.258 It's a bug I started running into with the last update. It appears that no matter the settings I have applied via GPO, Windows keeps a 15 minute timing for enabling the screen saver / lock screen. I know there are other threads on the community that have addressed this issue in other scenarios and I have referenced those in my initial attempts to correct our problem but they do not appear to resolve our issue. We have had issues getting this setting to work properly on our Windows 10 workstations for awhile now.
